How to control ice on new conrete

Our new concrete is very easily damaged this first year. Please do not use salt or chemicals to melt the snow and ice. Use sand or dry lawn or garden fertilizer, if you need to. Thank you for doing this. We will see significant concrete failure if we use the wrong products.
